Nick Earls takes some of the things he’s learned about writing and, in a series of exercises, turns them into tools that can be used to create compelling stories.
Learn how to use simple questions to generate ideas, how to use character to generate story, how to find and use detail to reveal place and character, when to enter and exit your story, how to find your story’s voice, and more.
Nick Earls is the author of twenty-eight books, including the bestselling novels Zigzag Street, Bachelor Kisses and Perfect Skin. Five of his novels have been adapted into plays and two into feature films. His UQ PhD thesis 'Wisdom Tree and the Novella in the Twenty-First Century' examined contemporary novella craft and publishing, and its novella series won awards in Australia and the US.
