Council has closed the Telstra Hill Car Park due to a washout from the rains on 3rd December. Infrastructure Services are assessing the issue and will have it rectified as soon as possible.
Mount Isa City Council is constructing a Materials Resources Facility to support the Landfill Operations, which is expected to commence from November 2024.
The Waste Transfer Station provides a convenient drop-off point for residents to dispose of bulky items, green waste, and hazardous materials.
Located at the Waste Management Facility, the station ensures proper waste management and encourages responsible disposal practices.
The following items can be left in the designated areas at the Mount Isa City Council landfill for recycling:
