2024-12 MICC Principal Cycle Network Plans (PCNP) – Fourth Avenue Construction
This project is the construction of the Principal Cycle Network on Fourth Avenue, Parkside QLD 4825. Fourth Avenue has been identified important cycling priority route connecting the suburb of Parkside to Mount Isa CBD. The construction scope of this project will implement significant safety improvements for pedestrians and cyclists.
Background information / Compatibility requirements
The existing 1.8m wide footpaths along Fourth Avenue will be upgraded to nominal 2.5m wide and 100mm thick shared paths based on current IPWEA (Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia) standards, along with associated safety improvements such as line marking, intersection upgrades tactile ground surface indicators (TGSI) and new signage installation.
