The Mount Isa City Council Australia Day Awards celebrate the achievements and contributions of individuals and community groups in our region.

These awards are an opportunity to publicly acknowledge those who have made an outstanding contribution or an exceptional achievement.

If you know of a person or community group dedicated to making the Mount Isa region a better place, help us recognise their efforts and nominate them for a Mount Isa City Council Australia Day Award for 2025.

The Australia Day Ceremony will begin at 9am on Sunday, January 26, at the Mount Isa Civic Centre. It will include a citizenship ceremony and a morning tea.

Also on that day, there'll be free entry to Splashez Aquatic Centre from 10.30am. From 12 noon to 1pm, Splashez will be hosting a free sausage sizzle, as well as fun Australia Day activities.

Outback at Isa will have a Locals' Open Day from 9am to 2pm. It will feature free short tours, bush tucker walks, and an Aussie-themed cafe menu.
